Alexander Hamilton Award Qualifications

Michael Mundaca

Currently serving as the co-director of the National Tax Department for EY in Washington, DC, Michael Mundaca has over 25 years of experience in consulting regarding tax law. Before his current tenure at EY, Michael Mundaca served as assistant secretary of tax policy at the United States Treasury Department, where he was presented with the Alexander Hamilton Award upon leaving.

Named after the first United States Secretary of the Treasury, the Alexander Hamilton Award is the Treasury Department's highest honor. The award was given to Mr. Mundaca specifically for his work in relation to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, along with work on the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and work on the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment (HIRE) Act in 2010.
